Wednesday was a little more relaxed with a start at about 8.
Our first destination was Amorepacific Group Headquarters to see the architecture.
Mr. Hong, an employee of Hyundai E&C, the company that built the building came to give us a tour about the infrastructure and layout of the building. It was amazing how they even built something like it.
We had the great honor of going to the Office of the President of the Republic of Korea.
I don’t think I am allowed to talk about the layout much as it is classified information, but the campus was very big. We met with his secretaries, talked about our club and introduced ourselves, and then gave our gifts of aloha. Although sadly, the president was away on a trip so we didn’t get to meet him.
We headed to another war memorial after we were done at the capitol. We learned more about the Korean war, and got to see a lot of different exhibits surrounding the Korean War.
We were given about an hour to explore after our tour, where we then headed to the Hyundai.
It was the largest mall I have ever seen in my life. It made me think that Ala Moana was tiny. It had multiple floors, each packed with new stores, restaurants, and shops. We had about 2 hours to explore the huge mall in groups.
After, it was time for Hangang Park. We rented some mats and tables, then found a seat by the river to chill. We ordered Korean food like tteokbokki and korean fried chicken, it was delicious. We spent a while by the river just relaxing and hanging out. When everyone started to get tired, we packed up and headed back to the hotel.
