Founding Background

Communism is like a fever. Humans can't live with fevers.

The Intention of Founding

Hawaii is known as one of the world's top vacation destinations. However, its deep historical connection to the founding of the Republic of Korea has been distorted and overlooked due to political factors, social indifference, and ignorance.

Hawaii was a devastated region during the Pacific War, but today it is home to a diverse mix of Americans, Koreans, Japanese, and others, and relations between these nations are developing positively.

After the end of the Pacific War, the Republic of Korea, founded through the diplomatic efforts of President Syngman Rhee, made great strides militarily and economically, building on the U.S.-ROK Mutual Defense Treaty signed after the Korean War.

The Purpose of Founding

Given the widespread influence of K-Culture around the world, KHHC's initiatives aim to celebrate and promote the cultural richness of Korea, as well as shed light on its historical significance.

To this end, KHHC is focused on providing youth with opportunities for accurate and meaningful history learning. Through a solid education, we hope to help young people understand the deep ties and historical connections between our two countries and the importance of the U.S.-Korea Mutual Defense Treaty, instilling in them a sense of shared heritage and responsibility and helping them grow into leaders who are a force for good in their communities.
